Qualcuno conosce l'organo combo cei prestige

Su un mercatino online locale ho visto un tizio che vende un vecchio organo combo CEI Prestige. Purtroppo la fotografia che ha messo sull'annuncio non è molto chiara quindi non sono riuscito a risalire ai controlli di quest'organo, si vede solo che i tasti sono waterfall, ha la prima ottava con i tasti di colore invertito per il basso, 2 gruppi di tab button, e tra questi 6 sliders, oltre ad un potenziometro presumo per regolare il volume. L'organo è in vendita per 100 franchi svizzeri (circa 70 euro) quindi il pensierino ce lo sto facendo, in settimana lo andrò a provare tuttavia sarei curioso di sapere se qualche tastierista qui sul forum ha già avuto a che fare con questo strumento. Ho provato a cercare un po' su Internet ma praticamente non ci sono informazioni su questa tastiera.

Se qualcuno sa darmi qualche info mi sarebbe d'aiuto.

E' la versione "evoluta"emo del mio CEI Parade.
Come suono è al livello dei vari Farfisa di taglio simile, niente di che. Io ho calcato i balli a palchetto per una decina d'anni con quell'organo, allora faceva onestamente il suo lavoro.

Tempo fa mi dissero che valgono più che altro perchè non ne sono rimasti molti.

@am0: considera che io cerco proprio il suono grezzo dei combo a transistor, ed il fatto che mi dici che è simile ad un Farfisa è positivo.

Tra l'altro nel frattempo sono riuscito a trovare delle immagini più dettagliate da un annuncio su eBay di un tizio che ne vende uno a Napoli, ed ho visto (o almeno così pareva dall'immagine) che 5 dei 6 slider al centro sono dei veri e propri drawbar che regolano i footage 16', 8', 5' 1/3, 4', 2' mentre il sesto regola il suono della sezione "orchestra", situata subito a destra degli slider e composta da classici tab buttons con i vari footage in ottava (16', 8', 4') che, presumo, attivano varianti filtrate diversamente degli oscillatori, un po' come su certi Farfisa. Poi ho visto che ha la percussione, il repeat della percussione, ecc... Insomma per 70 euro mi sa che ne vale la pena emo ovviamente sperando che sia in buono stato

È da risistemare (soliti problemi, slider e potenziometri che friggono, tasti che suonano e non suonano, filtri degli oscillatori da ritarare, qualche pulsante che non fa bene contatto, rinnovare condensatori e resistenze, ecc...) ma mi pare uno strumento carino. Inoltre per avere circa 40 anni non è messo così male, una veloce riaccordatura è bastata se non altro a non fargli più emettere cacofonie. Fortunatamente i divisori di frequenza sono ancora tutti interi emo.

I 5 drawbar in particolare gli danno un suono abbastanza Vox Continental (peccato manchi il drawbar Mixture, al posto del quale c'è un "banale" 5 1/3').

Una volta sistemato lo potrò provare su un amplificatore da chitarra e sentire bene come suona (per ora l'ho provato diretto sul mixer, che non è il massimo per un combo).

Insomma per 70 euro non posso dire di non essere contento emo

Firstly I have to apologize, I can only translate Italian and cannot write it, therefore this is in English. But I was interested in this forum because I've read about this CEI Prestige. I have a CEI Prestige myself. It functions for 50%; the rhythm-section doesn't work at all, and when I press a full triad chord, the sound level drops. I'd really like to know more of this organ. Do you have some documentation with it or scheme's of the electric circuits? The only way I know to fully repair the organ is to write out the circuits, recalculate the values, measure it and 'rebuild' the organ. But maybe with some help I can save time. A picture of my organ can be found here: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/25633337/CEI-Prestige.JPG The power section (in the upper right corner) was damaged heavily by the previous owner, I've repaired it, but I'm not sure if it is 100% OK. Hi Teis (and apologize me for my engRish emo),

For me there's no problem to read/write in english, but I don't know what the forum's administrators think about having posts written in other languages than italian. However now I answer to your post, but eventually think about contacting me in PM, so we can continue this discussion without disturbing the public forum.

Unfortunately I haven't the circuit schematics nor any documentation about this instrument, I tried to search on the Internet for more documents but I found absolutely nothing. So for the repairs I done until this moment (and it's not finished yet) I had to rely on intuition, following the circuits and measuring with an oscilloscope.

Remember that I'm not an electronic engineer/technician and I'm repairing this instrument with the help of a friend which is electronic engineer, so what I'll say may contain some inaccuracies.

For what I could see the percussion/sustain section it's handled by one of the 2 vertically mounted boards, more precisely by the most inner one, closest to the 12 oscillator boards. I suggest to begin to replace all the caps/resistors on the about 55 - 60 tiny boards which are soldered on the longer one, this should be enough to restore the percussion/sustain section. Replace them with components of the same values. Personally I had to replace all the blue caps on these tiny boards because the sustain wasn't the same on all keys. If I remember correctly these are 6,5 uF caps.

The 2nd of these 2 boards handles the filters/registers stuff and possibly other things that I'm not aware of.

Regarding the other defect (the volume drop when chords are played) may be that some preamp stage it's in trouble, but I still don't know where this is located, maybe near the power supply as the output jack resides there.

In this thread there are some photos of the restoring process of my organ, which by the way stopped for a lot of time and I'll have to restart in the next months, as my friend lately was very busy.

I hope this could at least give some help.

Compralo SUBITO. Io ne posseggo uno acquistato nel 1972. Ho suonato moltissimo con questo CEI PRESTIGE. I risultati migliori quando ho comprato ed accoppiato un Leslye Trep da 60w, una bomba. Una sera di 20 anni fa, mi ascolta il pianista di Michael Jackson, Americano di origini napoletane, lo voleva a tutti i costi, non l'ho dato, mi è stato valutato 10.000 $. Non lo cederò MAI, è un regalo di mio PADRE.

Conosco quel video, quel CEI è la versione evoluta del mio, con doppio manuale e più registri. Sarebbe stato bello se avessi trovato il Recital e non il Prestige, ma posso già essere contento così emo

Indubbiamente sono strumenti che hanno un loro carisma, anche se non sono in molti ad apprezzarli. Hanno un suono molto grezzo, ma se si usa dell'effettistica esterna con un po' di creatività si possono ottenere timbriche molto sperimentali, che vanno ben oltre l'uso beat/pop/rock che ne è stato fatto negli anni 60 e 70.
